Jurgen Klopp: I’ve managed over 1,000 matches; there was nothing new

Jurgen Klopp commented on his debut as head coach of the German national team. In the first round of the Nations League group stage, the Bundestag played away against the Netherlands—a match that also marked the debut of Spanish head coach Xavi. The game ended in a 1–1 draw.

"It felt good, but I’ve managed over a thousand matches in my career, so there was nothing new about it. Two very good teams are at the same stage of development.

We started well, but then real problems arose. That’s what happens when the system isn't yet established and the processes aren't fully settled.

I am very pleased with our players' passion and intensity, but we can play better," Bayern & Germany quotes Jürgen Klopp as saying.

In the second round, the German national team will host Greece on September 27.
