The first round of the UEFA Nations League group stage has kicked off.
The Netherlands national team hosted Germany and avoided defeat only in stoppage time, with the match ending in a 1–1 draw (video).
Jurgen Klopp made his debut as head coach of the German national team, while former Barcelona manager Xavi took charge of the Netherlands for the first time.
Norway faced Denmark at home and won 3–2 (video). Erling Haaland, the striker for Manchester City and the Norwegian national team, scored twice.
