Mauricio Ruffy on his loss to Arman Tsarukyan

Brazilian fighter Mauricio Ruffy, ranked 10th in the UFC lightweight division (70 kg), has commented on his loss to the division's number two, Arman Tsarukyan (Armenia).

"I felt like the fight was going his way. He was in pain; his eye was closing. I thought he was running out of steam. I was landing a lot of strikes and was confident I would secure the win in the second round," Championship Rounds quotes Ruffy as saying.

At the UFC 331 event held in Los Angeles, Arman Tsarukyan defeated Mauricio Ruffy in the final seconds of the first round, knocking him out with elbow strikes.
