Zakharyan's agent has reacted to the Russian national team player not being called up

Gennady Golubin, the agent of Spanish club Real Sociedad midfielder Arsen Zakharyan, has commented on the 23-year-old player's exclusion from the Russian national team squad.

"The Russian national team has a coach, and he is the one who decides whom to call up. If Karpin made that decision, it means he felt Arsen did not deserve a call-up. If he didn't call him, then he didn't. He believes others are more deserving," Sovsport quotes the agent as saying.

Zakharyan has played in four of Real Sociedad's eight matches this season but has not recorded any goals or assists.
