Champions League: Manuel Neuer's record

By playing in the Champions League match against the Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt, Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer became the oldest German footballer in the history of the premier European club competition, reports Bayern & Germany.

Neuer played in the match at the age of 40 years and 167 days. He surpassed the record held by German goalkeeper Jens Lehmann, who had played in the Champions League at the age of 40 years and 127 days.

Bayern defeated Bodo/Glimt 5–0.
