Armenian national team midfielder Karlen Hovhannisyan made his debut for the Russian club Akron.
In the third round of the Russian Cup group stage, the Tolyatti-based team hosted Lokomotiv Moscow. The match ended in a 0–0 draw.
The 21-year-old Armenian footballer came on as a substitute in the 67th minute.
Hovhannisyan joined Akron from Pyunik Yerevan, signing a five-year contract with the club.
