Giuseppe Marotta, president of the Italian league and cup champions Inter Milan, has commented on reports that Spanish champions Barcelona intend to sign Inter's Argentine forward Lautaro Martinez.
"Lautaro is our captain; he represents the current history of Inter. I can assure you that there are absolutely no circumstances suggesting his departure. We have no intention of parting ways with Lautaro under any circumstances. It is not even a topic for discussion," Sport.es quotes Marotta as saying.
Lautaro Martínez has been playing for Inter since 2018.
During this period, the 29-year-old footballer has made 377 appearances, scoring 175 goals and providing 56 assists. His contract with Inter runs until June 2029. Transfermarkt values Lautaro Martínez at €85 million.
