The Armenian championship has started: Sardarapat defeated Van

The new season of the Armenian Premier League has kicked off.

In the opening match of the first round, Sardarapat visited Van in Charentsavan and secured a convincing 4–1 victory.

Sardarapat’s 22-year-old forward Levon Petrosyan opened the scoring in the 31st minute, assisted by 22-year-old forward Levon Vardanyan.

In the 42nd minute, Sardarapat’s 23-year-old forward Hamlet Minasyan successfully converted a penalty kick.

In the 69th minute, 17-year-old Yanik Davtyan scored the visitors' third goal following a pass from Levon Vardanyan.

In the 85th minute, Van midfielder Petros Avetisyan narrowed the deficit with a penalty kick.

Sardarapat defender Artur Danielyan found the net in the third minute of stoppage time.
