The Armenian champions Ararat-Armenia has reached the third qualifying round of the Champions League.
In the return leg against Ireland's Shamrock Rovers in Dublin, the Yerevan-based team lost 1–2 (video).
The only goal for the team managed by Portuguese coach Manuel Tulipa was scored in the closing stages by 35-year-old Brazilian forward Sandro Lima.
Ararat-Armenia won 2–0 at home and will face Slovenia's Celje—who eliminated Albania's Egnatia—in the next round.
Ararat-Armenia has secured a spot in at least the main stage of the Conference League.
