The world No. 208-ranked player from Armenia, Elina Avanesyan, advanced to the semifinals of the WTA-250 tournament in Hamburg.
Avanesyan's opponent in the 1/4 finals, the 45th world Alexandra Oleynikova (Ukraine), withdrew from the tournament.
In the semifinals, Elina Avanesyan will face Anna Bondar (Hungary), who defeated Alina Charaeva of Armenia with a score of 6:1, 7:6 (7:3).
The tournament in Hamburg will conclude on July 26.
