France and Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe set a record by taking the field in the World Cup semifinal against Spain, Yahoo Sports reports.
The 27-year-old forward made his 21st World Cup appearance, surpassing former France goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, who played 20 matches at the tournament. He has become the record holder for the most World Cup appearances for the French national team.
As a reminder, the French lost to Spain 0-2.
