Switzerland have advanced to the Round of 16 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
They defeated Algeria 2-0 in their Round of 32 match in Vancouver, Canada.
Rennes striker Breel Embolo opened the scoring in the 10th minute.
And Nottingham Forest striker Dan Ndoye netted Switzerland’s second goal in the 46th minute.
In the Round of 16, Switzerland will go against the winners of the Colombia vs. Ghana match in the Round of 32.
