Germany played Paraguay in Foxborough, USA, and lost on penalties in the Round of 32 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Paraguay and Strasbourg midfielder Julio Enciso opened the scoring in the 42nd minute.
Germany and Arsenal striker Kai Havertz netted the equalizer in the 54th minute.
The regular time ended in a 1-1.
No goals were scored in extra time.
And the Paraguayans won 4-3 on penalties.
In the Round of 16, Paraguay will face the winners of the France vs. Sweden match in the Round of 32.
