Two-time Olympic figure skating champion Artur Dmitriev has died at the age of 59, TASS reports. He was receiving treatment in a Moscow hospital.

Dmitriev competed in pairs during his professional figure skating career. He became a champion at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, France, with Natalia Mishkutenok, and the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan, with Oksana Kazakova.

Also, Artur Dmitriev was a two-time world and three-time European figure skating champion.
