Midfielder Luka Modric, 40, made his 200th appearance for the Croatian national football squad.
He was among the starters for Croatia in their match against Panama in the second round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage, and the Croats won 1-0.
Modric is the fourth player in history to make at least 200 appearances for their national team.
The record holder is Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, 41, with 230 appearances. Kuwaiti striker Bader Al-Mutawa is in second place (202), and Argentine Lionel Messi is third place (201).
Modric has scored 29 goals and made 31 assists so far for the Croatian national team, becoming the runner-up in the 2018 World Cup, and the bronze medalist in the 2022 World Cup.
