English Premier League reigning champions Liverpool and Egypt star striker Mohamed Salah suffered a hamstring injury in Liverpool’s Premier League match against Crystal Palace.
As a result, Salah will no longer be able to play for Liverpool. The 33-year-old footballer will need at least a month to recover, Reuters reports. Salah and Liverpool had announced that they would end their collaboration at the end of this season.
Salah will become a free agent.
But he is expected to play in the 2026 World Cup to be held in the US, Mexico, and Canada in June-July, in which Egypt will face Belgium, New Zealand, and Iran in the group stage.
