Armenia’s Arman Tsarukyan on his difficult childhood: We slept in the car, we had no home

Arman Tsarukyan (Armenia), the No.1-ranked title contender in the lightweight division of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in mixed martial arts (MMA), spoke about the difficult years of his childhood.

“It was a very difficult phase [for me] from the age of 3 to 7. We slept in the car, we had no home, it was cold. At that time, a Dagestani man offered [us] to live in their house, for free. And we lived in their house for a year until we built our [own] house. Life changed when I was 12 years old,” Tsarukyan said on the YouTube channel of American former mixed martial artist Daniel Cormier.

Arman Tsarukyan has fought 26 bouts so far in MMA and won 23 of them.
