Armenia played against Hungary in Yerevan and lost 0-1 in the penultimate round of the European Qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Ferencvaros striker Barnabas Varga scored the only goal in the 33rd minute.
Armenia are last in Group F, with just 3 points, and have missed out on a chance to move up to second place and compete for a place in the 2026 World Cup through the playoffs. Hungary are second, with 8 points.
In the other match of this group, current leaders Portugal will be hosted by Ireland in Dublin. That match will kick off at 23:45 Armenia time
