Midfielder for Russian Premier League football titleholders Krasnodar and new captain of the Armenia national team, Eduard Spertsyan, made a post on Telegram after joining the national squad.
“I’m already in Yerevan. Playing for the national team is always especially emotional. We have a few days until the match against Hungary. We will prepare,” Spertsyan wrote.
Armenia will host Hungary on Thursday in the penultimate round of the European Qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
