The Disciplinary Committee of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has reviewed the violations that occurred during the 2026 World Cup qualifying match between Armenia and Portugal, and fined the Football Federation of Armenia FFA) 12,000 Swiss francs, FIFA’s website reports.
During the Armenia vs. Portugal match, there were recorded incidents of “Team misconduct, Order and security at matches, Invasion or attempted invasion of the field of play, Lighting of fireworks or any other objects.”
But during the World Cup qualifying match between Armenia and Ireland, the violations were fewer (“Order and security at matches, Lighting of fireworks or any other objects”), and the FFA was fined 1,000 Swiss francs.
