Serie A: Milan climb to 1st place

Milan played at home against reigning champions Napoli, and won 2-1 in Matchweek 5 of Italian Serie A football.

Milan's Belgian striker Alexis Saelemaekers opened the scoring in the third minute. American striker Christian Pulisic doubled the home team's lead in the 31st minute.

Milan's Ecuadorian defender Pervis Estupinan was sent off in the 57th minute. And Napoli’s Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne reduced the goal deficit in the 60th minute, from a penalty kick.

Milan have climbed to first place, with 12 points, in the current Serie A standings. Napoli are second, also with 12 points.
