Swiss defender Manuel Akanji has moved from Manchester City to Inter Milan on a season-long loan from the Italian second division.
Inter will pay €2 million for the player. The Milan club will have the option to buy Akanji for €15 million next summer.
Akanji has also played for Swiss clubs Winterthur, Basel, and Borussia Dortmund. Akanji has been a member of the Swiss national team since 2017.
His contract with Manchester City runs until June 2027. Transfermarkt estimates Akanji's transfer value at €28 million.
