Last season’s runners-up Real Madrid hosted Osasuna and won 1-0 in the last match of the opening round of the new Spanish La Liga season.
The only goal of the match was scored in the 51st minute from the penalty spot by French striker Kylian Mbappe.
Reigning champions Barcelona, Rayo Vallecano, Villarreal, Getafe, Athletic Bilbao, Alaves, and Espanyol also won their matches in the first round.
