World No.16 Karen Khachanov (Russia) is through to the semifinals of the National Bank Open Presented by Rogers tournament in Toronto, Canada. In the quarterfinals, the Muscovite Armenian tennis player defeated world No.34 Alex Michelsen (USA) 6:4, 7:6 (7:3).
The match lasted 1 hour and 44 minutes. And for a place in the final, Khachanov will face world No.3 Alexander Zverev (Germany), who defeated world No.26 Alexei Popyrin (Australia) 6:7 (8:10), 6:4, 6:3 in the quarterfinals.
The prize fund of the National Bank Open Presented by Rogers is $9.1 million.
