Eduard Spertsyan, the midfielder of Russian Premier League champions Krasnodar, has equaled Tigran Barseghyan and Edgar Manucharyan in the number of goals scored for the Armenian national football team.
All three have netted nine goals, each, for Armenia and share sixth to eighth places in this regard, the Football Federation of Armenia informed on Facebook.
Spertsyan has made 34 appearances so far for the Armenian national squad. Recently he scored a brace in a friendly match against Montenegro, and one goal in a friendly against Kosovo.
The record holder for the most number of goals netted for Armenia is former captain and star midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, with 32 goals.
