The second legs of the quarterfinals of the UEFA Europa League were played, and all semifinalists have been decided.
Manchester United beat Lyon 5-4 in extra time. Lyon, who were playing with 10 players from the 89th minute, took a two-goal lead in extra time. But the 20-time Premier League champions responded with three goals and staged an impressive comeback.
Both the first and second legs were tied 2-2 at full time.
In the semifinals, Man United will face Athletic Bilbao, which beat Glasgow Rangers 2-0 in the second leg, after a goalless drawn the first leg.
Lazio lost on penalties at home to Bodo/Glimt, who will face Tottenham Hotspur, which eliminated Eintracht Frankfurt, for a spot in the final. The English club won 1-0 in the second leg in Germany. Their first leg had ended 1-1.
The first legs of the Europa League semifinals will be played on May 1, with the second legs—a week later.
