Novak Djokovic has reached the quarterfinals of the Brisbane International tournament being held in Australia.
The 24-time Grand Slam champion Serbian tennis star, who is now ranked seventh in the world, defeated world No. 55 Gael Monfils (France) in two sets—6:3, 6:3—in the Round of 16. The match lasted 1 hour and 13 minutes.
Djokovic's opponent in the quarterfinals will be world No. 293 Reilly Opelka (USA).
The prize fund of the Brisbane International is $766 thousand.
