Ancelotti: It's a very important victory

Real Madrid's Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti commented on their 3-2 win against Atalanta in Matchday 6 of the UEFA Champions League.

Kylian Mbappe, Real’s French star forward who opened the scoring in this match in tenth minute, was subbed off in the 36th minute due to an injury.

"Mbappe has suffered an overload, an ischial [i.e. lower pelvis] discomfort. It doesn't seem serious, but we'll see tomorrow after the exams. He couldn't sprint, it was bothering him a bit and we decided to make the substitution.

It's a very important victory, not everyone wins here [in Bergamo]. We suffered and fought hard; there is no Champions League without suffering.

We are very happy. It was a win that is very good for us, not just for the points, but to build confidence. It's still difficult to finish in the top eight, but we have two games to pick up points," Ancelotti said, AS reports.

Real are eighteenth, with 9 points, in the current Champions League standings.
