Bundesliga champions and cup winners Bayer Leverkusen were hosted by Bayern Munich in the Round of 16 of the DFB-Pokal (German Cup), won 1-0, and advanced to the quarterfinals of this football tournament.
In the 17th minute, Bayern's German goalkeeper Manuel Neuer was sent off for bringing down an opponent outside of the box.
And in the 69th minute, Nigerian midfielder Nathan Tella scored Leverkusen's goal.
In the other DFB-Pokal games of the day, Arminia beat Freiburg 3-1, Stuttgart defeated Regensburg 3-0, and Werder Bremen beat Darmstadt 1-0.
