Karen Khachanov (Russia), ranked 24th in the world, has reached the quarterfinals of the Vienna Open tournament being held in the capital of Austria.
In the Round of 16, the Muscovite Armenian tennis player defeated Brandon Nakashima (USA), ranked 38th in the world, in three sets—1:6, 6:3, 6:4. The match lasted 1 hour and 52 minutes.
Khachanov's opponent in the quarterfinals will be world No. 41 Matteo Berrettini (Italy), who beat world No. 15 Frances Tiafoe (USA) in the Round of 16.
The prize fund of the Vienna Open is 2.4 million euros.
