World No. 4 Alexander Zverev (Germany) won his first match at the US Open tennis tournament being held in New York.

World No. 6 Andrey Rublev (Russia) also reached the second round.
In the first round, Rublev defeated world No. 86 Thiago Seyboth Wild (Brazil) in three sets—6:3, 7:6 (7:3), 7:5 against in the world. This match lasted 2 hours and 19 minutes.
The prize fund of the men’s competition at the US Open is $75 million.
