World No. 1 Jannik Sinner (Italy) and world No. 26 Frances Tiafoe (USA) will face each other for the men’s title in the Cincinnati Masters tennis tournament, which is coming to a close in the US.
In the semifinals, Sinner defeated world No. 4 Alexander Zverev (Germany) in three sets: 7:6 (11:9), 5:7, 7:6 (7:4). The match lasted 3 hours and 6 minutes.
In the other semifinal clash, Tiafoe beat world No. 16 Holger Rune (Denmark)—also in three sets: 4:6, 6:1, 7:6 (7:4). This match lasted 2 hours and 8 minutes.
The final will be played Tuesday.
The prize fund of the men’s competition at the Cincinnati Masters is $6.7 million.
