Canadian Open: Karen Khachanov is out

Karen Khachanov (Russia), who is ranked 22nd in the world, has lost in the Round of 32 at the Canadian Open tennis tournament being held in Montreal.

The Muscovite Armenian lost to world's 46th ranked Matteo Arnaldi (Italy) in two sets: 7:5, 7:5. The match lasted 1 hour and 44 minutes.

Arnaldi's opponent in the Round of 16 will be world number 42 Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (Spain), who defeated world number 3 Daniil Medvedev (Russia) in the Round of 32.

World No. 1 Jannik Sinner (Italy) defeated Borna Coric (Croatia), No. 94 in the world, in the Round of 32 in two sets: 6:2, 6:4.
The prize fund of the Canadian Open is $6.7 million.
