Three-time world bronze medalist, four-time European champion, and two-time U23 world champion freestyle wrestler Arsen Harutyunyan of Armenia on Thursday started his campaign at the 33rd Summer Olympic Games being held in Paris.
In the starting Round of 16 of the Men's Freestyle Wrestling 57kg category, Harutyunyan competed with Roman Bravo-Young (Mexico) and won confidently, with a score of 13-3, on technical superiority.
Arsen Harutyunyan's opponent in the quarterfinals will be Gulomjon Abdullaev (Uzbekistan), who has reached the quarterfinals of the world championships in the previous two years.
