Two-time pole vault world champion, world record holder Armand Duplantis (Sweden) has won the Paris Olympic Games title, defending his Olympic champion title won three years ago in Tokyo.
In Paris, Duplantis secured the victory in the Men’s Pole Vault competition, with a result of 6 meters, and then set an Olympic record: 6.10 meters.
At the Tokyo Games, he became the champion with a result of 6.02 meters.
The world record belonging to Duplantis is 6.24 meters. He has now ordered 6.25 meters and is trying to improve the record.
Sam Kendricks (USA) won the silver medal, with 5.95 meters. And the bronze medalist is Emmanouil Karalis (Greece), with 5.90 meters.
