In the quarterfinals of the Olympic judo tournament in the +100 kg weight category, world and European champion Georgian Guram Tushishvili, having lost to legendary Frenchman Teddy Riner (0:10), hit his opponent on the head and thigh with his fist and was disqualified.
Teddy Riner reached the final and won his fourth Olympic title. French President Emmanuel Macron also watched the final at the Palais des Sports.
Teddy Riner also won individual titles in 2012. London and 2016 Rio Olympics. Tokyo 2020, Teddy Riner was the gold medalist in mixed team wrestling.
