World number two and 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic has reached the quarterfinals of the Olympic tournament.
In the third round, the Serbian tennis player won 7:5, 6:3 over Germany's Dominik Köpfer, ranked 70th in the world. The match lasted 1 hour and 37 minutes.
In the semifinals, Djokovic's opponent will be 11th ranked player Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece, who won 7-5, 6-1 over 18th ranked player Sebastian Baez of Argentina.
