Vardan Minasyan, the manager of Armenian Football Cup winners Ararat-Armenia, commented on their 3-0 away win against Zimbru of Moldova in the first leg of the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League.
"The score should not mislead, as the match turned out to be very difficult, as expected. But we played our game and accomplished everything we had planned.
We showed our best in this round. Of course, we are not in the best shape at the beginning of the season. I believe the second match will be difficult as well, and we cannot weaken," Minasyan said.
As reported earlier, the second leg between Ararat-Armenia and Zimbru will be played in Yerevan on August 1.
