World No. 5 Daniil Medvedev has reached the quarterfinals of the Wimbledon tournament.
In the Round of 16, the Russian tennis star defeated world No. 10 Grigor Dimitrov (Bulgaria), who retired in the first set—when the score was 3:5.
In the quarterfinals, Medvedev will face world No. 1 Jannik Sinner (Italy), who defeated world No. 14 Ben Shelton (USA), with a score of 6:2, 6:4, 7:6 (11:9), in the Round of 16.
The Wimbledon prize fund is 50 million pounds.
