Fonseca takes helm at Milan

Portuguese football coach Paulo Fonseca has been appointed the new manager of Milan, the latter’s website reports.

The two parties have signed a three-year deal.

The position of head coach of this Italian club was vacant after the departure of the Italian coach Stefano Pioli.

Fonseca's previous club was Lille, where he had taken helm in 2022. Lille finished fourth in the French Ligue 1 season that concluded.

And in Italy, Fonseca had previously coached Roma as well.
