Emin Ohanyan (Armenia) won the silver medal in the boys’ competition at the FIDE World Junior Under 20 Championships being held in India.
In the last round, Ohanyan, 17, defeated Daniel Quizon (Philippines) and garnered a total of 8.5 points out of 11 possible.
Nogerbek Kazybek (Kazakhstan), who won the title, also amassed the same number of points. In the last round, he defeated Mamikon Gharibyan (Armenia), who finished fourth, with 8 points.
