Lionel Messi, the 36-year-old captain and forward of reigning FIFA World Cup champions Argentina, plans to retire from football at Inter Miami.
"I think Inter Miami is going to be my last club. (...). I try to enjoy. That’s why I enjoy everything much more because I am aware that there is less and less to go, and I have a good time," Messi said, ESPN reports.
Messi joined Inter Miami in the summer of 2023, and scored 25 goals and made 16 assists in 29 appearances so far for the club.
Transfermarkt estimates Messi's transfer value at 30 million euros.
