Liverpool will announce the appointment of Dutchman Arne Slot as their new manager this week, reports Italian sports journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The respective contract with Slot, who currently coaches Feyenoord, has already been signed, and Feyenoord will receive 13 million euros in compensation.
German football manager Jurgen Klopp had announced in January that he will leave Liverpool after the end of this season and will not be engaged in coaching for at least a year.
Arne Slot, 45, has been in charge of Feyenoord since 2021, and the team won the Dutch Eredivisie title last season. After 30 rounds in the current Eredivisie season, Feyenoord are second and 12 points behind the leaders, PSV.
