Mats Hummels, the 35-year-old Borussia Dortmund defender, intends to end his professional career in the summer, according to German publication Bild. Mats Hummels realises that he is falling behind the pace of modern football.
His contract with Borussia is until the end of this season.
In 2019, Mats Hummels returned to Borussia Dortmund, which he also represented from 2008-2016, then played three years at Bayern Munich.
In the current season Mats Hummels took part in 29 matches and scored 3 goals.
