Midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the former captain of the Armenian national football team, was among the Inter starters and was subbed of in the 77th minute. He had received a yellow card in the 58th minute.
Inter lead the current Serie A standings, with 35 points, and are 2 points ahead of Juventus in second place. Napoli are fifth, with 24 points.
