Undefeated American-Armenian junior middleweight boxer Vanes Martirosyan’s (33-0, with 20 KOs) and Cuban Erislandy Lara’s (17-1, with 11 KOs) official weigh-in was held on Friday, during which the two boxers nearly rumbled, Boxingscene reports.
Both fighters’ weights were consistent with the junior middleweight category requirements.
To note, the Vanes Martirosyan vs. Erislandy Lara bout will take place on Saturday in Las Vegas. The winner of this fight will formally become a contender for the WBC Light Middleweight title and be eligible to fight the current titleholder, Saul “Canelo” Álvarez of Mexico.
