A group of Turkish and German fans clashed in Istanbul ahead of the Galatasaray vs. Bayern Munich match in the third round of the UEFA Champions League group stage, Ihlas Haber Ajansi reports.
About 70 German and around 30 Turkish fans clashed in Istanbul's Taksim Square last night, throwing chairs, tables, and bottles at each other.
The clash was stopped after the police intervention.
Several fans, however, were seriously injured and taken to hospital.
The Galatasaray vs. Bayern match will be played Tuesday and will kick off at 8:45pm Armenian time.
