In the fourth round of Euro 2024 qualifying tournament, the Armenian national team met the team of Latvia at the "Republican" stadium and won with a score of 2:1.
Lokomotiv Moscow defender Nair Tiknizyan opened the scoring in the 35th minute (video) with an assist from Armenia's Pyunik midfielder Artak Dashyan.
The visitors evened the score in the 67th minute - a goal scored by Latvian RFS forward Roberts Savalnieks (video).
Slovan forward Tigran Barsegyan scored the winning goal for Armenia in the compensatory time with a penalty kick (video).
In Group D, the Armenian team tied with leading Turkey with 6 points. Latvia suffered its third loss and is in the last place.
