Women's world number one Iga Swiatek has reached the French Open (Roland-Garros) final.
The Polish tennis star defeated world No. 14 ranked Beatriz Haddad-Maia (Brazil) in two sets: 6:2, 7:6 (9:7) in the semifinals. The match lasted 2 hours and 11 minutes.
In the final, Swiatek opponent will be world No. 43 ranked Karolina Muchova (Czech Republic), who surprisingly defeated world No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka (Belarus) in their semifinal clash.
Iga Swiatek is the defending French Open women's champion.
The prize fund of this tennis tournament is 49.6 million euros.
