Artistic Gymnastics World Cup: 4 Armenia athletes make it to finals

Four gymnasts representing Armenian have reached the finals of the fourth round of the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup.
The qualifying rounds of the Rings and the Pommel Horse exercises took place Thursday in the fourth round of the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup which started in Cairo, the capital of Egypt.

In the Rings, Artur Davtyan and Artur Avetisyan from Team Armenia reached the finals. Two-time European champion, world champion Davtyan passed the qualifying round with 14.266 points, Avetisyan—with 14.633 points.
Harutyun Merdinyan, two-time European champion, two-time bronze medalist of Artistic Gymnastics World Cup, and Gagik Khachikyan reached the finals in the Pommel Horse. Merdinyan scored 14.466 points in the qualifying round, Khachikyan—14.300 points.

Artur Davtyan on Friday will participate in the qualifying round of the Vault exercise.

Armenia is participating with four gymnasts—Harutyun Merdinyan, Artur Davtyan, Artur Avetisyan, and Gagik Khachikyan—in the fourth round of the individual exercises in the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup.

The Artistic Gymnastics World Cup is a ranking for the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships to be held in Belgium in the fall, during which spots for the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics will be up for grabs.
The fourth round of the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup will end on Sunday.
